Celebrating Life and Love - a Unique Approach to Funerals and Weddings

Welcome to my first blog! In this article, we will be looking at what makes a celebrant led funeral or wedding unique, meaningful and how I can work with you to create the perfect ceremony to reflect life and love.

During my training, lots of people asked me "What is a celebrant?". I explained it was someone who creates and conducts non-religious weddings and funerals. Of course, I will be officiating vow renewals and naming ceremonies too!

So, you may be wondering what happens when you opt for a celebrant led ceremony. I will visit you at a place you feel most comfortable, your home, maybe even a coffee shop, and we will get to know one another. When planning a funeral, you can tell me all about your loved one, their favourite things, hobbies, family, what their childhood was like, their personality, all kinds of things to help me build a picture enabling me to create a fully bespoke script to honour their life. You will have full control of the tone of the ceremony, and what you would like to include, music, stories, poems-the choice is yours. The ceremony will reflect their life in a way which is unique to them.

When planning a wedding ceremony, a similar structure applies. Tell me your story, I want to hear it all! Tell me how you met, when you first fell in love, funny stories about each other, the lot! I will create the perfect ceremony based on your love for one another, and the best part is, it will be completely personalised, meaningful and bursting at the seams with love!

Whereas celebrant led ceremonies are non-religious, you can, of course, include religious elements, whether this be a hymn or spiritual ritual. The choice is yours.

Lets make this a ceremony to remember, whether we are celebrating a life, marriage, or birth, I am here to help you every step of the way.
