I'm not that kind of celebrant.
I am your professional story teller, emotional support and third wheel.
Whether you're planning a wedding full of glitz and disco balls, or preparing for a heartfelt goodbye, I get to know you, and all the details which mean so much to you. I'm standing beside you all the way.

Shall I bore you with a bit about me? Go on then...
I'm Rachel, a 40 something mum to my two boys, based in South Leicestershire. I have a five year old whippet cross called Lulu, who is a true queen with her pink leopard print collar.

I'm not thrilled to say that I am a season ticket holder at Leicester City, am losing the will to live and would currently rather stand in a wasps nest covered in sugar than spend a Saturday afternoon watching them play.
​
My working background includes dental nursing, a local authority deputy manager, and a cemeteries officer at a local council. I am qualified in end of life care and bereavement, having studied with Lincoln College.
​
I currently work within the funeral industry and am focusing solely on weddings (for now) due to commitments of work and life, but come at me with your weddings....i'm ready for you!

Wedding Law Reform
You may be aware that the Government are working on some major changes to the law in relation to weddings in England and Wales.
This is HUGE and an exciting prospect for both couples and celebrants.
A change in the law would give couples more freedom to marry in different locations, without being restricted to approved buildings to go through the legalities before the celebrant led wedding takes place.
If the proposal becomes law, independent celebrants could conduct legally binding weddings, becoming authorised and regulated officiants.
The consultation closed on 24th September 2026, with responses being used to develop legislation.
For now, we have the waiting period, keeping our fingers crossed, hoping that the Governments response is a positive one.
What is a Celebrant?

A celebrant is a skilled, trained professional who creates and conducts completely bespoke ceremonies.
Think of a celebrant like the director, storyteller and super friendly guide of your ceremony, all rolled into one!
Whereas celebrant led ceremonies are generally non-religious, this doesn't mean that you can't include religious elements in the service.
A celebrant can weave a prayer, hymn, or religious symbol into the ceremony...after all, it's YOUR day and you can have it exactly how you want it!​
